Inking brushes 1.2 and Miscellaneous brushes 1.0 for Krita 2.8 as well as the Candy pallete under the cut.
Test with inking and crosshatching.
Guy on the left was done in Fineliners(07 tp 005), Dragon on the right was done with really cheap nibs. I guess I’ve gotten better with Lineart in general.
I found out there were a whole lot of pictures I never uploaded or anything, so I decided to photograph them and upload them.
This is a test of comic styles in Krita.
The middle one being a watercoloury style(probably needs better colour picking to be really useful)
The last being traditional ink-then-colour, softshading style, and the first being a variation where I painted the subject first, and then added the lines. Painting is a little more comfortable for me regarding details like hair and folds(which are nice to sculpt this way), so it’s a little more natural to me to try this manner.
All of them have their own charm really.
Sat down and really tried drawing in Krita. I had to install cinnamon onto ubuntu because otherwise it would be too slow. Ubuntu kinda fights too much with my videocard. :/
Anyhow, I still prefer MyPaint, mostly because the UI is much easier to grasp. I hope future versions of Krita will be more customisable and quicker.
This one was in wip-hell since last christmas. Today I basically finished it.

I was briefly afraid that it would be a little too crazy, but then the fandom started assigning symbol-vegetables to characters, so I was being afraid of being crazy while sitting in the asylumn.
Anyhow.
…Kind of really pleased with that mountain range there…
I saw some people draw mermaids, and then I wanted to draw them too.
Made with Mypaint, I worked on this one quite a while, resulting in me hardly recognising whether it was a human face to begin with.
I used to think this guy’s hair was blond before I came in contact with the fandom, because of the way I imagined his hair to catch light.

Some rough designs for where I want to take my portefolio site.
WordPress has changed a lot since last time, and there’s some microblogging functionality put it, which I want to use when I set up my theme.
I also want to see whether I can identify when I’m posting comics, so that I can set up the javascript of my javascript comic viewer. Somehow.
Another problem is how to deal with the UI. There’s a good amount of catagories, and I’ll probably make the home/gallery/portfolio pages instantly clickable, while hiding the catagories and have the about and other such pages in the footer.
I’ll also need to check whether I can get the chunks of posts to match to the screen well enough and whether I can handle the input so it’ll make use of this proper. (Also, I need to look into touchscreens and shit)
I wonder whether I should reduce the information when on mobile-phone sized screens.
/makes me almost wish that I could configure tumblr as well as I can configure wordpress. 😡
